Reception/office staff

Our reception/office staff will happily manage everything from initial patient calls and referrals, through the making of regular appointments, to dealing with all financial aspects of treatment. Receptionists will be available through all our normal office hours. They will also pass on telephone, fax and email messages to the orthodontist.

After initial consultation and after agreement has been made to commence active treatment, letters will usually be sent out to patients or their families and to the family general dentist. While the reception staff will print and send out those letters, the content comes automatically from the coding of the orthodontist's detailed notes from consultation.

We use the dedicated Orthodontic Practice Management System for our patient data base and all scheduling, letters and accounts. We use the Dolphin imaging system to import,  store, organise and manage all our radiographic and photographic images, as well as the digital scans and digital treatment planning checks for lingual braces and invisible template treatment. Our staff will often be preparing patient records for hard-copy or email transfer back to general dentists or on to other dental and medical specialists.

Clinical staff

Our clinical assistants are well-qualified with Bachelor of Health Sciences degrees and specific technical certificates. They assist the orthodontist in all aspects of clinical work and interact closely with all patients and their families. They ensure that a very high standard of sterilization and disinfection is maintained. All non-disposable instruments are thoroughly sterilized and the clinical facillities are thoroughly cleaned regularly. All the clinical staff get to know our patients well and keep a real interest in the progress and final treatment outcome for every patient in our practice.
